For Real works with people who care about doing things properly, and that goes for both our clients and our team.

The result is world-class events, built on solid foundations. No cutting corners.

We partner with B2B event organisers on everything from new show launches to total product overhauls. And when we do, we bring in people we trust to help make the magic happen.

Now we’re opening our circle of collaborators up (just a little) to include a few more brilliant people who get what we’re about and want to be part of something that’s human, flexible and built on mutual respect and love for the work.

This isn’t a job ad and there’s no open headcount. We’re not hiring in a hurry. But we are looking to build relationships with smart, experienced people we can call on when the right brief comes in.

Our kind of people

Creative? Collaborative? Hands-on? Love a gnarly problem to solve? Events obsessed?

Yeah, we’ve got a type.

We’ll probably get along if:

  • You believe if something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly.

  • You keep your cool (and more importantly, your sense of humour) when the pressure’s on - maybe even prefer it that way.

  • You don’t wait to be told - you spot the gap and jump in.

  • Your ideas come from everywhere: your brain’s always firing and you’ve got a million tabs open (figuratively and possibly literally).

  • You think big but like getting stuck into the weeds too.

  • You ask excellent questions and actually listen to the answers.

  • You believe that a great event can change the world.

You’ve worked on complex, fast-paced events before, probably for a B2B show organiser or maybe an agency. You know what going onsite really means and you’ve got the scars (and the drawer full of staff t-shirts) to prove it.

You’re a T-shaped person: deep in your own lane (ops, content, creative, sales, marketing, customer service, PR), and fluent in everyone else’s.

We like people with opinions. Bring yours.

How the Collective works

We’re building a modular model: a trusted roster of like-minded event geeks who we can call on when the right client with the right project comes along.

We’re a small gang but we’re picky. We only partner with clients who respect the people doing the work, and we only bring people into the Collective who reflect our values and can match our standards.

And who we’d be happy to go to dinner with. Or into battle. (Given that we’ll probably end up doing both.)

We’re all grown-ups here, so we’ll always give you the context, the trust, the flexibility and the runway to do your best work.
